    Friday Night blues

Been bowling today with my husband and son.
Had a good time and did not drink whilst surrounded by drinkers
My Husband has had a good few pints of beer and is now at 'that stage'
    you know....
    arguementative
    snappy
    confrontational
Hope he will just fall asleep infront of the TV soon and then my son and I can be in control of the remote for the evening.
    What a way to live. . ....
    Happy weekend all

Hi new--Sometimes it seems easier to be on the same level with them, huh? Just be glad you didn't drink, and that you can set a good example for your kids. When I'm sober & hubby is not, I feel for my kids at times. Kinda like Jekyl & Hyde, never know which one to expect.

          New,

          What a great thread.

Yes, our children have gotten to watch us drink ourselves into some rather not nice people, huh?

A friend of mine told me that she and her brother used to sit in the living room and cringe when they heard their dad come in from work and open the cupboard.

It meant the drinking was about to start and the monster was about to appear.

He apparently got really mean and nasty once he started drinking.

She said she went to bed as early as possible to avoid him.
