When I am in a drinking phase
I get real depressed about the state my home slips into, house grubby, fridge empty (except wine), laundry piling up, etc etc....
When I am in a non drinking phase I clean like a banshee .

Anyone else notice this complete lack of standards caused by AL.

Absolutely. So little gets done when you're either too drunk or too tired and hungover to do anything! One of the first things you notice when you stop drinking is how much free time there is to do stuff. I actually feel like I have a whole weekend off before going back to work on Monday instead of it slipping by wasted.

Absolutely, When I'm drinking I wake up worrying about these things but never get round to actually doing them ......

When I cut back I actually do jobs before work .......

So why oh why do we drink again?????

Oh, absolutely! Day 5 AF for me and when I've been drinking only the bare necessities get done like making dinner and maybe making the bed in the morning. It's amazing the things you can get done when sober and not hungover. I plan to get my house back in order by the end of the weekend since I feel great!! Trouble is, it's been so long since I've tended to it, it's going to take all weekend to clean it! :H

Day 4
Spent the day cleaning my kitchen
Found a few things in cupboards 2 & 3 years past sellby date.
Is is really that long since I was in control.
New.
