There are so many little tests online that you can take depending on how you answer is maybe you are....maybe you aren't.

So just curious. What do MWO members have to say about it.

Define it and try to keep it short.

Alcoholics are people where alcohol is a consistant part of your life.

Alcoholics are people who cannot/should not drink alcohol as it is a poison to them because it causes either social, mental or physical problems.

gee, this is a GOOD question.

An alcoholic 'over' indulges with use of alcohol, there are different types of alcoholics.

Alcoholism is chronic use of alcohol to cope/function in normal activities or be ill and continue even sick.

I used alcohol to relax/cope with my difficult relationship..staying away from it keeps me safe and free from unecessary trouble.

If Alcohol is causing problems in your life..you are an ALCOHOLIC..final answer-me.

It's when you just know you are one. Generally speaking at the point you know that if you pick up a drink you can't say where it's going to end or how.

It's when alcohol is such an "important" part of your life that you can't get through "events" without it. "Events" like, dinner, lunch, "brunch", celebrations, weddings, births, funerals, graduations, any family get-together, any party, holiday, making it through a week of work, making it through a day of work.

my only little humble opinion, but...


do 30 days or more, commit to that only( tell people you are depressed, triyng to lose weight or doing a "cleanse")..do not worry whether you are an alcoholic or not...that only produces more stress.

we are in this life to try things out. wanting to explore other states can be dangerous, but is natural

forget the labels and statistics and be more present to what your relationship to alcohol is

i am so not there yet, but i know that acceptence in the moment is more important than a label for a lifetime

be yourself, you are loved if only you can believe in this moment by me...
