OK, I think this is a group: 1more chance, CS04, Keeta, Sunbeam. Do we all plan to keep posting here most days, or under Monthly Abstinance? I don't think Wonder Woman and the others post here much any more.

OK, I think this is a group: 1more chance, CS04, Keeta, Sunbeam. Do we all plan to keep posting here most days, or under Monthly Abstinance? I don't think Wonder Woman and the others post here much any more.My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. Days 1-30: Hello Sober Living
Hey Sunbeam! I am most definitely here and so happy to see everyone. What a nice group. Would be so thrilled to see each of you sachet into September with an AF August behind you !
Where do you guys want to hang out to achieve yer goal? Would you rather be here or jump on one of the other Abs threads? If you want to use this thread as the group's daily check-in thread, I'm very happy to hang here with you and :cheering::cheering:ointup: (okay and make some suggestions
). I have a feeling Liv, Kate and others might jump in too. We could have our own little 30 day AF retreat.
Either way - I'm excited for your new start. AF AUGUST !!! Woo Hoo!!

Day 11 almost to a close...had a fairly shitty day, and I can't wait for it to be over. Sorry I am not more cheery or upbeat...I just am feeling blah, and kind of bitchy.
Hope everyone is doing well...check in one and all, how was your day!?
wonder..I appreciate your cheering AND your suggestions

Days 1-30: Hello Sober Living
Hello to Kriger and others just starting out, whether for the 1st time or umpteenth time.
I really liked this thread at my 1st attempt at 30 days. So here it is. Hasn't seen much action lately, but maybe it should. Wonderworld's initial post was great. It is indeed Sober Living, and someone posted on another thread that it is like giving up part of your life. I have said the same thing, and it is so fucking hard. I feel like I don't know how to live sometimes; isn't that pathetic. I will keep trying.

Iirene, you couldn't have written truer words. Sober living is sooooo much better than drinking. Great job.
Have you tried L-glutamine for the sugar cravings? Alcohol is sugar and when we quit drinking our bodies still want the sugar even if we don't want the alcohol. The L-glutamine should help.
Keep up the good work!!

Thankful, great to see you! (I saw your post on Rusty's thread and thought the same.)
I always loved this thread and have meant to resurrect it -- once I was, er, ready. I think there are a good many helpful posts here, and guidelines to truly thinking about living without AL.

Days 1-30: Hello Sober Living
30 day's is such a milestone, (not millstone) i think. We learn so much about our relationship with al, and how sneaky, and tricky, our minds can be. Not to mention the advantage of a much clearer head to make better choices with. I learnt a lot about myself during this period. It's a challenge, sure, but not too daunting to not try. The experience may also save your life. Get prepared, get yer toolbox out, set a date, and just do it.
Best wishes..........G.

Hiya Thankful,
Yep, we are worth it. And congrat's on your 18 mths, or so. I'm around 8 mths here, and loving it. I could never see or imagine a life without drinking, but it's wild, free, and to my surprise....Totally do-able, possible, and such magic beyong my wildest dreams. Actually, my wildest dreams are starting to happen! But i digress. This thread is about 30 day's, and 30 day's is a great place to start. Go for it all! Bravo!!

Days 1-30: Hello Sober Living
Hi all,
I'm on Day 91 AF and am lovin life again! I love not having hangovers every day, not wondering which liquor store to go to so no one will suspect how much I drink, not gaining more weight, not able to drive to the store in the evenings. Not to have to plan my day around drinking.
As you said in your post, this is a VERY difficult journey but this is a great place to get support and help as well as a ton of tools to help make it bearable. Good luck to us all in this journey!
