I also had not corresponded with Bear but had ready MANY of his posts. He did inspire a lot of the members here and will be remembered always. So sorry to hear of his passing Mrs. Bear and will have you in my thoughts and prayers.

Very sad news about our beloved Bear

Wow, I can not stop crying. I just had a huge fight and logged on quick to keep myself sane and sober and this is the first post I read. I feel sick to my stomach.

I know I've posted this before so forgive me for doing so again. My 2 or 3 day here, I logged on an absolute wreck. I wanted to drink so badly but thankfully got myself here first. When I logged on I saw I had a couple of replies to my post. One of those posts was from Reenie, the other was from Bear.

He did not write eloquent words of poetry. He just wrote a few lines of support and encouragement. Encouragement that I so desperately needed at that time. Just a few simple words but they touched me so deeply. It was what I needed at that desperate time. I also cried very hard that day, because after I read those replies, I knew then and there that I wanted my life back and I felt I was given the inspiration to accomplish that.

Bear, thank you for giving me my life back. You will forever remain in my heart. Rest in peace, my friend.


My condolences to everyone whose heart that this wonderful man has touched.

I remember Bear/MDBiker from my very earliest days of posting on MWO, over 2 1/2 years ago. In fact I recently read a post of his and smiled to know that he was still around. What a tragic and ironic end; one we should all pay attention to.
