I just can't quit crying....Bear was the biggest inspiration to me, and a friend also. He was the cousin of a guy I worked with for 10 yrs., and was a Texan too. He has called to check on me numerous times, was so sweet, and so supportive, and just really was a cuddly Bear. I just talked to him probably 2 dys before this happened, I can't believe it, and I'm just devastated. I also cannot believe that he would leave us in this way, I'm a very faithful person, but I certainly don't understand God sometimes, I know Bear was a man of faith too, and I know he is in Heaven, and I know he will be watching over us all. He will be in my heart constantly, but right now, I'm so at a loss, this is a huge, huge loss for his family, and this family here. To honor him, we should all make every effort to achieve what he did, he wanted it so badly for all of us, and we need to make him proud.

I cannot question what God has taken because I must have faith in our God, but my heart is so heavy and I am so very, very sad to have lost Bear who was always so kind and never without words of hope even for a wreck like me.

Mrs. Bear, I send my deepest sympathy and prayers to you. Your husband was such a kind, humble and beautiful person.

All I can say is that our huge and unspeakable loss can only mean Heaven has gained even more glory.

Here is a prayer I have found some comfort in, Mrs. Bear, I hope it gives you a little comfort too.

Lord Jesus, our Redeemer, You willingly gave Yourself up to death so that all people might be saved and pass from death into a new life. Listen to our prayers; look with love on Your people who mourn and pray for their dead brother. Lord Jesus, You alone are holy and compassionate.

By dying You opened the gates of life for those who believe in You; do not let Your brother be parted from You, but by Your glorious power give him light, joy, and peace in heaven where You live for ever and ever. Amen.
