Morning all. I may be a little confused with the time zones and all, but I believe this is 30 days for Brett (Fresh-Start-at-36).

It's nice to know there is someone as stubborn as me on the other side of the planet. I know how tough it must be having an extended family who likes to drink as well as being Australian (someone said it is a national sport there).

Keep up the good work and the exercise. Don't worry, we'll make it on Oprah yet. :H

It is truly amazing what 30 days can do!

I have abstained for up to 3 months over the years, but ended up going back to AL because of no support or people to share with.

I can't believe how different it has been this time, with such a wonderful group of people behind me each step of the way. It really has made an enormous difference.

As for the last 30 days, it is like night and day.

I honestly can't believe how much I have changed as a person in that time.

Nearly every aspect of my life has changed for the better.

I am so much happier within myself.
My energy levels are coming back with a vengeance.
I'm even closer to my kids than ever before. (I really appreciate just being with them)
I am much less grumpy and angry.
I've lost 8 pounds.
The brain fog is clearing.
My relationship with my wife could not be better.
I feel a genuine sense of calm within.

That's just a few off the top.

It's now, 30 days down the track that I can really appreciate what a soul and life destroying drug AL can be.

I know that I can never let but one drop pass my lips for the rest of my days.

Why would I want to? Nothing that AL can give me evens comes close to the way that I'm feeling now.
