    Many Happy Returns Jay!!

You are not alone.....WE'RE ALL F*****!!!!!lol

    Great tune and great movie.

    Come hold me now
    I am not gone
I would not leave you here alone
In this dead calm beneath the waves
I can still hear those lost boys calling

    You could not speak
    You were afraid
To take the risk of being left again
And so you tipped your hat and waved and then
You turned back up the gangway of that steel tomb again

And in Mott street in July
When I hear those seabirds cry
    I hold the child
    The child in the man
The child that we leave behind

And in Mott street in July
When I hear those seabirds cry
    I hold the child
    The child in the man
The child that we leave behind

    The spotlight fades
    The boys disband
The final notes lie mute upon the sand
And in the silence of the grave
I can still hear those lost boys calling

    We left them there
    When they were young
The men were gone until the west was won
And now there's nothing left but time to kill
You never took us fishin' dad and now you never will

And in Mott street in July
When I hear those seabirds cry
    I hold the child
    The child in the man
The child that we leave behind

Happy belated birthday to you. I'm happy to "hear" you sounding so good. I really liked the Birthday poem. So much communicated in so few words. May this be the turnaroud year for you: goodbye Trouble, hello Sun...
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

                Jay,

                Happy belated Birthday!!

and, as usual, I loved your poem.

It is so heartening to hear you sounding so positive.

I remember once, when my son was in his mid-20s and struggling, he looked at me and said, "You know, I am like the song Time" I really know what it means by"

"..Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.."

Today he has not only caught up but surpassed whatever he missed out on by alcohol and drugs early on, not just that but some really rebellious tendencies (can't imagine where he got those from!!). Yes, he still drinks and has an issue with it but he has managed to get his life together and be the husband, father and person he always wanted to be.

                Love,
                Cindi

                  Jay,

So nice to read on of your poems with "Hope for the future" woven it's fabric! The sun is there, we just need to look up and let it's soothing warmth seep into our souls.

Happy 44th! 4 is my favorite number. May this be your very best ever!
