Hi Everyone

Thank you so much for all your kind words. Unfortunately I don't deserve them as I didn't quite make it - slipped up yesterday on day 30. Very sick puppy in hospital with severe pancreatitis, and decided "f@!* it" and bought and drank a bottle of wine. Didn't even enjoy the damn thing. Will post more later but Peanut I think I take the cake on feeling sheepish. On a positive note I didn't drink tonight and don't intend to ruin all my hard work by letting one night turn into more. I've learnt some valuable lessons from the slip-up which I'll share once I'm less stressed about puppy.

Congratulations wakupmom and loppy - I'm so proud of you both.

Wooflet, I hope you are feeling better soon. I don't really know what pancreatitis entails. Doesn't sound pretty.

As far as the 30 days goes, well all I can say is that I am so disappointed for you. I know how hard you worked. But may I offer you a huge congrats for 29 AF days!!! That's still awesome!

No offense to anyone else on that thread, but you were one I thought was really going to go far. I don't say that to make you feel bad, but to let you know how much faith I have in you. You have determination and strength like no other. So come to think of it, I still think you are going to go far.

This is what AL does - makes us think the second life gives us a problem, we can not make it through without him. Well we can. The problem ends up being much worse if we let AL try to help. But I'm sure you've figured that out already.

We are here for you, Woofy. Please know that. And, hey, June is another month to shine!! I'll meet ya back here in 30 days for another celebration!!

Hey Wooflet!

Don't give it a second thought!! I think you have done spectacularly well! After all, there were 31 days in May, and 30 of those were AF for you, so from my point of view you have succeeded very well! As for myself of course, well, here's to Day 1 of AF June. Ha!! My beau is trying to stop me from thinking that way, saying to take it ODAT or even an hour at a time. Got a hash run today, but I will not drink the beer, as I actually really like (prefer?) the AF beer and the feeling that I can drive everyone home afterward without being all tipsy (?). I do however get very tired without the AL to keep me going, so often after the runs, I sit there yawning. Time to put the old CD's back in the machine and get a fresh bottle of soda water!

Smart beau you got there Peanut! Some people get overwhelmed when they think about 30 days. Just think about doing whatever you have to for the day your in. Do whatever it takes to get through whatever trigger life throws at you. When you can do that the days will just add up all on their own.
