    What I've learned

Not sure if this has been posted here before, but I love it and thought I would share it.

I've learned.... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned.... That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day.

I've learned.... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right.

    I've learned
. .. That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

    I've learned
.... That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way.

    I've learned
.... That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

    I've learned
.... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.

    I've learned
.... That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I've learned.... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned.... That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.

I've learned.... That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned.... That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I've learned... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

    I've learned
.... That to ign ore the facts does not change the facts.

    I 've learned
.... That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

    I've learned
.... That love, not time, heals all wounds.

    I've learned
.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

    I've learned
.... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

3px;">I've learned.... That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.

I've learned... That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

I've learned.... That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.

I've learned.... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I've learned.... That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away.

    I've learned
.... That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

    I've learned
.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

    I've learned
.... That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, that you're hooked for life.

    I've learned
.... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

    I've learned
.... That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

          What I've learned

I LOVE this!! My favorite quote comes from: Everything I need to know I learned in kindergarten. Can't figure out how to cut and paste it, so I will type it out:

Most of what I really need to know about and how to live and what to do, and how to be, I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school moountain, but there in the sandbox at nursery school.

These are the things I learned:

          Share everything.

          Play fair.

          Don't hit people.

Put things back where you found them.

          Clean up your own mess.

Don't take things that aren't yours.

Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.

Wash your hands before you eat.

          Flush.

Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.

          Live a balanced life.

Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.

          Take a nap every afternoon.

When you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold hands and stick togehter.

          Be aware of wonder.

Remember the little seed in the plastic cup? The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that. Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the plastic cup--they all die. So do we.

And then remember the book about Dick and Jane and the first word you learned, the biggest word of all: look.

Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and sane living.

Think what a better world it would be if we all--the whole world--had cookies and milk about 3 o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or if we had a basic policy in our nation and other nations to always put things back where we found them and cleaned up our own messes. And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.

          Robert Fulghum

wow, would have been easier to cut an paste...Good thing I type fast.

Thanks Lucy. I love it. It may have been easier to cut and paste but I think the message was worth the typing.

              What I've learned

i have learned if you look at a piece of grass it wont grow in front of you.. but look away for a while and come back to it . it has grow alot ..
and yes i have learned you cant catch a fly with a stick..
but with right tools you can do anything
really the main thing i have learned IS THE YOU DONT NEED AL TO LIVE LIFE TO ITS FULLEST
:beach: life does change as long as you are willing to change yourself ..
best thing about the future it comes one day at a time..
