    My Grandpa used to tell us that if a snapping turtle got a hold of us it wouldn't let go until it lightening....LOL

      I correct myself. It was a box turtle. The milkman ran over him.

        Be careful with that snapper, Cindi......they are brutal. They can and will break your finger if given the chance....

        We have a pond and whenever a snapper comes along, I set a trap and take it a couple miles down the road and put it in a nearby creek.

        They really don't make good pets....

          MY BROTHER & HIS ROOMMATE HAD 2 TURTLES IN COLLEGE, ( CUFF & LINK ) THEY JUST ROOMED AROUND THE APT. THEY DROPPED LETTUCE, ETC, AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER !

              Snapping turtle...

              My brother rescued a snapping turtle once. It was ambling down a highway sure to get hit. He somehow got it into his van and drove it to a river. It made angry sounds at him but no doubt was happy in the end ...
