    Hi Beth,

    My heart goes out to the family of this tragic loss, and also to you as a good friend. In the short term, it doesn't matter whose child it is. It is just so tragic and so hard to deal with. Thoughts and prayers are on their way. Please take care of yourself.

              Thank you all sooo much. And Kate, you are so wonderful to have started this thread. I am ok. Just very, very, sad. This is a truly wonderful family, and this child (well, young man, but I have known him for years and years) had a heart of gold. He also had some demons he couldn't seem to beat. Very sad. I have been with my friend last night and today. Tomorrow is a viewing and Sat. the funeral.

              It is hard, especially with the first anniversary of the loss of my niece on Sunday. But I am hanging in. Your warm words and hugs just mean the world to me.

                      Beth, I just missed you in chat last night.....I wanted to tell you that my niece was accidentially run over by her father many years ago and I know exactly how you feel. However, this happening again to you...I'm very sorry, again. Prayers to you and your friend's family.
