              Capn' Jack

I hope you are holding up O.K.

We have heaved to and are anchored just inside the surfline; in a quiet channel nearby. Waiting. You already have our position.

Be yourself. There are no dummy runs for what you have to do.

If that f**k, Al, shows his wizened face around here, we're ready. Starboard's are all rolled out and primed. Grapeshot in the ports, poop and mizzen. I have 15 balls and patches left and the powder is dry.

The crew is resting after 16 days at sea. Some fair better than others but their hearts are in it. Shore leave is not an option Capn', for there; lie Al's cohorts and the temptations of the flesh, mind and spirit. We're to finish this voyage when you're good and ready.
May your Da rest in Peace my friend.

Sorrow shared though no less weighty....
