I sat here and read this post for a good 15 minutes while my blood boiled.... then thought to myself "hang on DeeBee, these people do not know Madiba like we do, so don't get your knickers in a knot".

I am South African, as many of you who have met me in Chat know. Madiba is the nickname we (as a country) all call Nelson Mandela - it is a honorary title given to a respected elder. He spent 27 years in prision in his for fight to end apartheid. He was inaugurated as the first democratically elected State President of South Africa on May 1994 to Jun 1999.

I am not going to get in to a political fight here all I ask is that before you make comments like this, please read up about Madiba and our wonderful country it sadens me when people across the globe think so poorly of us ...

            talking about Terrorism UK

I remember one year my friend from work, was on the train going to work in the morning, the train approach :upset: the station that was going to be bombed by explosives weapons.... by the IRA TERRORISM... There were countries that supported them with all the weapons and explosives they needed. It is a shame, its always the ones that get hurt that are not involved. There are a lot of countries we could talk about. Best not to go into the subject.

I think Nelson Mandela ended up on the "list" a long time ago as he showed support for communism in Russia and their supporting artillery used in the middle east against our troops... and his support and friendship with Fidel Castro. America would not just arbitrarily put him on a list. Also, his former wife was a true terrorist... so perhaps it is guilt by association. However, it didn't seem to slow him down... and he's come and gone from this country and other countries. I believe he was on other countries terrorist list as well. America is the first to take him off the list... I think it was a 90th birthday gift to him... ;-)

                    Breaking News - Terrorism

Nelson Mandela - Madiba, was a civil rights leader until the massacre at Sharpsville when he realized that peaceful protests were useless under the apartheid government -he traveled the country in disguise organizing mass action and strikes. ironically it was the CIA who were responsible for his capture. He was branded a terrorist by the National Government.

This is what he said at his trial:

During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to the struggle of the African people. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.

We love Madiba. (his former wife is another story!)

Why don't we judge someone by their own actions, not by those of others related to them?

Who in this world believes Nelson Mandela has done more bad than good?
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
