      Welcome back TIT,

Oh to be a fly on the canyon wall as your rafting trip unfolded - good thing there were witnesses just in cast Hubby decides to "slightly alter" his version of events! You know, Tex, so many of us when we're completely into the "cups" withdraw from real life. We don't take risks - seek adventure - read new books - try to grow spiritually - nothing. We're just too busy planning our next drink. I know I had quite a few things on my own bucket list, but somehow the days just slipped away. But no longer!!

Your post was a perfect example of taking life by it's horns. Faced with devastating events and hurt beyond measure, you persevered and went on to cherish, challenge and live. I'm going to look for that book. I'm going to think of you crashing through the rapids when I'm making excuses. And I'm going to tell Hubby that maybe rafting should be our next adventure . . .

      V.

P.S. SouthernBelle - Psalm 46:10 is one of my favorites. It echoed in my head during a restless night several months ago.

Vera and Kriger, great to meet you also!!!! I'm so glad you are here! Thanks so much for writing to me, I really did have a tough time there for awhile, but you know, you just can't "wallow" in it, that just makes you feel less powerful, and bummed out, so you just have to find the light and move towards it..I needed a change of scenery and a challenge I could overcome, it gives me hope for all the other things I need to conquer! The book is amazing....I'm almost finished with it....I'm starting my journal on my goals, with pictures of what I want, personally, and spiritually..... there was one example that really hit home.... it was about a Dad, being tired after work, just wanting to sit down, and read the newspaper, and his small son kept bothering him to go out and play some ball, the Dad was just pooped, and tore out a picture of the entire world from the newspaper, tore it in a bunch of small pieces, and told the lil guy, "when you put this back together, we'll go outside and play ball"...thinking this would keep the son busy for quite sometime, he went back to his paper....in about 10 mins., the son came back and handed him the picture all put back together....the Dad was amazed...and asked his son..."how did you do that so fast?"....the son replied...."well, on the other side of the picture, was a person..."once I got the person all back together, the world was all ok"..... oh wow....so once we fix ourselves, the rest of the world will come together for us....but, it won't happen until we fix ourselves first...we can't love another, until we love ourselves, we can't fix anyone else, til we are fixed....its just a wonderful book, that says if you'll just spend one hour a day, for 30 dys, doing a different thing, it'll be a habit...so you take a few new good habits at a time.... it says if you think you don't have an hour....would you not stop to get gas in your car because you were too busy driving, sooner or later, you come to a grinding halt.... no kidding! lol I love you all tons and buckets! Come over to the 30 dy thread, and meet that part of the family! Thanks everyone again, for holding me up during a really tough time, I'm always here for you guys too, never forget!!!!
