I made a phone call today

I heard this guy on AM radio one day while driving. He is the director of a drug/alcohol abuse center. He had great energy and said that he doesn't want anyone to hesitate to call b/c of financial issues. That really got my attention.

I called the center today and left a message. I also e mailed the director. He responded within 30 minutes while he was on vacation in hawaii. I told him my financial situation is not great and that I went thru Katrina, lost everything yada yada.

He e mailed back and wants me to meet with him next Tuesday. The day before my birthday. I am going to see what my options are as outpatient help. What do I have to lose?

If we can work this out, what a wonderful b.d. present to myself.

I just really think I am ready to do whatever it takes to make this work. I don't know if there will be anything there I can afford but like I said, meeting with the director is a start.
