Hello from an old timer!!

Hi guys,

I am the most unreliable person in the world, but i am always drawn back to MWO..
I have'nt read yet and can't imagine what has been happening on the boards, but i know it has been good bad and ugly..
Things in the Mackeral house have been varied to say the least..We lost my last 2 grandparents last year and early on this year our yongest has been diagnosed autistic or asd..
My oldest boy has been placed on the gifted register for sports which means the world to especially me...failed footballer.
Mrs Macks and i have never been closer....even though my drinking has slowly got worse.Lisa has blossomed...as always taking everything into her stride and is more beautiful and more confident than ever..There is no stopping the woman..

I have been away for a while...and after tonight..( 2 bottles of red and 4-5 cans ) might proberly forget about tonight...But i always know MWO is here..

I saw my gp the other day and am waiting on blood tests....i gotta ring on tuesday...I start an office job in recruitment on monday....Absolutly shatting myself...I have no confidence on the phone...but its a better paid job for my family..So has gotta be done..

In short..Just popping my head in ...wanting to hear from some familier avatars....Need some friends at the moment..

It sounds like you are going through a rough time just now, but also you seem to have a lot of good things. That makes you a lucky guy.
For me drinking has wrecked my confidence. I thought it would help but no. Maybe that's holding you back with your job?

MWO was my first forum..I got pretty addicted to it...This is proberly the drink coming out but this was a major part of my life for over a year...I would go on Mwo before i lit a cig...
gg...i will always kiss the mrs...but will give her one from you...sorry about your nana...i was my nanas eldest granchild....and her favourite....sounds corney but i know i was...My younger cousins all went to university and are all rich and successfull....But we had something else...

It sure sounds like you've got a busy life going! I wouldn't worry too much about your phone voice. Just pretend you're confident, and know they can't see your knees knocking. Pretty soon you'll have them falling all over themselves trying to sign up with you. Just don't sound too gorgeous, especially with your wonderful Mrs. Macks.

I'm sorry to hear about your autistic child. I've read that they're making good progress with autistic children when diagnosed early. It's wonderful you have a good partnership with your wife - that will certainly benefit your child. Is cutting out the booze part of the plan as well? Know that with all you've got going on it's particularly hard, but for those of us who are still in the early stages, we need the hope that we are, indeed, stronger than our addiction. The longer I'm around, the more I realize that despite a very good program and tremendous support from like-minded people, it's still a battle. And it's a battle I intend to win. I'm not a very gracious loser. Hope victory finds you as well.
