      Lessons on Moderation

I really appreciate this thread as well for it gave me much food for thought.

I too want to eventually mod and am first wanting to do at least 30 days AF so that I can understand my triggers better first. If I feel I "need it", then why? What is the real reason behind it? Habit? Self-medicating? Trying to escape something else?

If any of the above.....it's a no to drink.

Eentually though I'd like to be able to have a glass of wine with dinner, go to a wine tasting with friends, toast to friends at a wedding.

Only time will tell as I complete my first 30 days later this month.

      Thanks again for your posts.

        Lessons on Moderation

        Hi Erin,

I think learning the triggers is top on my list. I know mine is stress (accumulated or otherwise), so I am preferring to be AF on those days when I'm feeling it bigtime and looking for other things to do that like taking a walk, listening to my CD or talking to a friend. One key to moderation for me is/will continue to be to not drink to alleviate something (or even to get high on it to celebrate something).
