    Exchanging Food for Alcohol

I'm been on an eating spree ever since I started the 30 day Af program; I'm on day 13.
Has anyone else gone on an eating spree when giving up alcohol? I know that I?m substituting one evil for another. I?m feeling sorry for myself because I lost my best friends; vodka, gin & rum.

I don?t want to keep eating because then I will have a new problem losing the weight.
    Thanks for any suggestions
    Artsy
    :thanks:

    Hi Artsy :welcome:

I would suggest L-Glutamine, it will take away the cravings for calories and alcohol.

Artsy, not yet on any program (AF/Mod) but find salad is very filling if you can handle lo-cal dressing. Pre-packaged grilled chicken strips are also very good. Keep it up!!

Maxman, do you get your L-glut from your local health food store?

                  Thanks Maxman.
Are you AF? Do you find the L-glut from this site the same and/or better/worse than GNC? I am a newbie struggling until my book and supps come. Sorry, slightly buzzed right now.

Nanlovesdogs, if you are in a hurry Walmart has a large jug of free-form L glutamine powder for less than 10 bucks.

                          Thank you all

I will run out and buy supplements today. I do feel better now that I've stopped drinking; my hands are no longer numb in the mornings and I can remember things now.

Thank everyone who responded; this is a terrific forum
