    Pet lovers...this is hysterical!

    Dear Dogs and Cats,

The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other
dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the
middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food
and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me
to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall
    faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about
this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your
comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is
not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the
fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and
having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but
    sarcasm.

For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some
miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not
necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under
the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I
entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years -- canine or feline
    attendance isn't required.

The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cats butt. I
    cannot stress this enough!

To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our
    front door:

To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
    1. They live here. You don't.
    2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture.
(That's why they call it "fur"nature.)
    3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
    4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is
short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

Remember: In many ways, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
    1. Eat less
    2. Don't ask for money all the time
    3. Are easier to train
    4. Normally come when called
    5. Never ask to drive the car
    6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends
    7. Don't smoke or drink
    8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions
    9. Don't want to wear your clothes
    10. Don't need a "gazillion" dollars for college.

    And finally,
    11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.
Forever loved, forever missed Papa Bear

LOL!!! Especially the "bathroom" one. In my house it is a major irritant to SEVERAL of the occupants, if I dare to close ANY of the doors....

Great post WIP!! Thanks so much for that. I can totally relate to pretty much all of it. And like, you, god forbid I try to go to the bathroom by myself with the door closed! :H

There WOULD be plenty of room for all of us on the bed, but my dog likes to cuddle, and cuddling turns into pushing me all the way to the edge of the bed in the middle of the night if I let her sleep with us. She likes to lay with her paws sticking straight out facing my back as though she's trying to push me off! (Maybe she is!)

I saw this a while back. It's a keeper. In my house we have two dogs (thankfully one of them is only 3.5 lbs) who sleep with us. The little one sits on Joe's pillow and licks his ears. She tried that with me and I CAN"T handle it, too ticklish. Then she will move down to cuddle with me. Then we have a 25 pound cat that sleeps with us. Moving a 25 lb cat is not easy, AND she always starts out sleeping on the bed horizontally. After all these years observing us sleep vertically you'd think she'd get it right. When we ever move we are getting a kingsize bed. We two humans don't have much room! :H

I love this! My cat believes that if I am eating a bowl of cereal, it is supposed to be his bowl of cereal. Also, he HAS to come in the bathroom with me. Every morning, he observes the showering thing and his eyes get big .... why does she WANT to get all wet
:boxer: Get the hell out of my house, Al, you worthless bastard!!

I have also seen that and laugh my butt off each time I read it. We have three neurotic cats and a big ol goofy dog. I have hairballs the size of tumbleweeds in my house sometimes.....but I would never get rid of any of them...maybe get a better vaccuum, but keep them!

Oh, I completely forgot about the shower! My shower has glass doors, and my boxer pup will either lick the water from the railing after I get some water on the doors, or will jump up onto the doors and bark at me when she runs out of water to lick! Shower time is not relaxing if I'm the only one home to watch her! :H

One of my kitties started drinking out of the water glass on the bathroom sink, if there was any water at all left in it... finally I gave in. That water glass is his, and I keep fresh water in it for him. There's now another water glass on the table beside the sink, and it's for humans. Now he NEVER drinks out of the communal dog and kitty water bowl on the floor in the kitchen.

And, yes, they are ALL spoiled like that, canine and feline both.
