One time, I got hammered, and replied to an email from my boss, telling him I was quitting. He was cool, but I trashed the company good, and sadly, I have bad potty mouth, and even worse when I'm smashed. So, he had that particular email setup that any replies went to a group. Anybody familiar with Microsoft Outlook knows you can do this. So, I reply, and it goes to 90 percent of the company. I wake up the next day, with my phone ringing, and see I have a bunch of messages. Half of them laughing, because they knew damn well what happened, and the other, umm, not so happy. I was fucking humiliated. Sad thing is, they were all enablers. They loved me too much to really bust my ass about it. I mean, part of me is glad for it, but really, how can't people see when others need help? Yeeesh.

Hey. Morrison. We all fuck up big time when we're looped If bosses don't help you out, there's a whole big world out there to make your future in. "Course, I can say that, since I have USA disability, hubs has 33 years+ with public utlity, and I can live off dividends. Don't hate me because I have a beautiful portfolio. (kidding) I know so many of you are struggling, but we do too. Whether your rich or poor, Al doesn't care. Maybe we can afford ritzier rehab, but the end is the same. Sober or not.And ya know, we spent years with $5 a week for groceries in the beginning. My husband came home (finally) a few minutes ago, and thougt he smelled alcohol. Just my perfume, but how can I argue. So many nights, so much pain. Trust me, you have to work thru your problems whereever you are. No one else, and no amount of money, can solve it.

Hi Dex,

I got it but chances are he won't ... I think its a girl thing. How many guys have seen "The Way Were"? (or "Sex & The City" for that matter). Even if a girlfriend/wife made them watch it, they probably wouldn't get it or remember it lol. My hub realizes now that I get most of the inter-personal stuff in movies and TV shows so now he asks me to give a running commentary (only at home, not in theaters) because he admits he doesn't always get it all. And, he's a fairly sensitive guy.

I'd say don't worry. But even if he (or she) gets it, its really not that bad. Don't beat yourself up! Just hide that keyboard when you're drinking!!!!!!!! :H:H:H

thanks all of you .. I love you all for helping me through this pain and misery. I hate the fact that he'll know I was drinking. I wish I could move to another planet. But I live about 2 miles from where ex and his blushing new bride live. I am going to try to move back to Chicago.
