Wow McCain Picked a woman!

I'm talking hospitalizations, surgeries, etc. No, my GP is not getting rich (but pretty comfortable all the same), but my surgeon who put the titanium in my shoulder when I broke it in three places, on the other hand, was paid $35,000 for about two hours work. The hospital bill was $70,000. Because my stupid insurance company forces me to go to this certain hospital, and the only surgeon in town who could do this particular surgery had already done his surgery rotation the day before, I had to lie in a recliner for a week with broken bones in my shoulder which looked and felt something like eagle talons. Oh, also, my shoulder was dislocated out the back and had to be put back in place by another specialist (another so called surgery because they put me to sleep so I wouldn't feel the pain).

I really like my doctor and his PA, but I have sat in their waiting room and counted as many as six drug reps go through that door. Now, I'm not faulting them for taking advantage for our system--they would be fools not to. I am faulting the system. Kay

Doctors have to spend out the wazoo for insurance to protect themselves from .....yep......us...the patients.
At least the ones that sue at the drop of the hat.
SIL is a doc.....there are some good ones who still care about their patients but it is getting harder for them as the pressure is on them from insurance companies.
Just my thoughts...

I'm no expert, but to my knowledge it is to help control the populations. A lot of controversy for us here in Alaska. My boyfriend is an avid hunter and definately supports it. He says its more humane than people may think.

I asked my boyfriend more on the subject and he explained that wolves don't have many natural enemies which make their population go way up and then more moose are killed and over time the wolves get overpopulated and starvation and disease take over. So, although it seems unfair it is truly more humane. It happens with other species in other places as well.

There are a lot of issues we have here that people don't understand, such as the polar bears becoming extinct and drilling for oil disturbing nature, that unless you do the research most don't completely understand.

Just thought I would explain from an Alaskans point of view.
