I would prefer cleaner language. I occasionally read threads with language I do not prefer, but try to avoid it because it makes me cringe inside. I just can't sometimes see through the language to understand the intent. I think the foul language makes us sound like a bunch of drunks, instead of people trying hard to improve ourselves.

Regardless of my feelings, people will continue to post words I do not prefer. I will continue to try to ignore the words.

I have no issue with those who are posting their opinions. That is what makes this site so wonderful.

It is a place where we can approach our problem drinking in the way that works best for us. It is one of the things that makes MWO such a valuable tool for me!!

I adore all of you and your posts.

I seem to realize that "we", as I hope to include my self, are a sensitive gathering of unique indivuals.

The world is in its own varied arenas, divided.

I struggle with my own interpretation of my thoughts, and how I feel about my thoughts and then I gather my mind and come here.

You are what I listen to and then what I feel makes sense.

I dont understand discounting what another said because they felt.
They are human just like me and you.

I hurt when you hurt.
It is bliss when you cause me to laugh because you are feeling light hearted.

You, rather , you are under the infuence or not, are the best people I know.

I have respect for AA as if it can assist such beautiful beings as you to tear away from what ails them, then, more power to them.

If what we gather and collect in our thougths and our $%#^% expressions of who we are then I am in the land of promise.

OK, so there have been some negative responses to my posts on this little thread.

Here's the deal. I get to express my opinions here. You can reply. You need not get all angry or incredulous or distressed by my opinions, and you really need not give me instructions about what I may or may not write about. But if you want to do that, that's up to you. Just makes you look silly (but then, of course, that's just another opinion of mine).

I post about topics that I find interesting, especially as related to psychology (as it happens, AFM, although I am always "still learning," I finished my formal education a long time ago, and teach this stuff to grad students) and pertinent sub-disciplines such as: alcohol/drug dependency, stress reduction, impulsivity, and emotion regulation. Most recently, in part due to some of the stuff I see going on around here, I have been getting more interested in the process of scapegoating, bullying, and in-group dynamics. I'm sure you can't wait to hear more about that...

I personally find certain words therapeutic in some instances ....hee.. I can't afford to subscribe to Subs right now, but maybe someday I will be able to enter that tantalizing thread ..
anyway, I agree we should not be cutting on one another and definitely not using those words against each other.
Now, I am going to use a stream of colorful language to my cat ... he really doesn't mind at all!:catroll:I'm pretty sure he often curses like a sailor at me in his own cat language.
