Louise, I have long loved this poem and try to carry a copy of it with me when I travel. I, too, think about the lines regarding sitting with pain....mine or your own.....in regards to drinking. I try to remind myself that I have the right and the responsibility to feel pain, that it's part of the human experience, without feeling the need to dull it with alcohol. Thanks for sharing your experiences with it!Comment
