River Pharmacy?

What has your experience been with ordering from River Pharmacy, the prices looks great, what about quality of the drugs? I'm looking particularly to order my blood pressure meds from them as my Dr. won't refill unless i see him and my new insurance basically sucks......:thanks:

River Pharmacy?

I have ordered my Topa twice from River Pharmacy. The order arrives to the US with in two-three weeks with no problem. The first time the Topa was the real thing, the second time I did get generic...seems to work the same. But....

I know money it tight for us all.....however I don't think I would order something as important as Blood Pressure Medicine online and overseas where our government has no control of what goes into it.

Do NOT order BP meds from them PLEASE....the topa and antabuse we get from them is OK...but it is not nearly as strong as the topa and antabuse we have here in the states. The regulations in India are not the same as they are here in the US. (and yes I know for a fact...the tops has been tested by a pharmacist ehre in the US). BP meds are to important to take the risk.

Hi Pet,

I ordered my topa from them several months ago and had no problems ... and I was living in Canada at the time. It arrived within the time frame they said and has worked just fine. I was worried as I had all sorts of issues ordering things through the mail while in Canada.

That being said I think you should make an effort to get your BP checked by your doctor, and order the meds through a regular pharmacy. I also take BP meds (Cozaar 50 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 50 mg per day) and have been doing so at the same dose for several years now. My feeling is that your heart is not something you want to mess with, especially if you have AL issues and/or you smoke. For myself I wouldn't feel comfortable buying these through the mail.

Not sure where you are (I assume "Port of Indecision" is a joke, funny!) but if you are in the US, these meds really aren't that expensive.

Medications from India

I live in Canada, but my relatives who are in Florida (and are Seniors) buy all their medication from On-line pharmacies like River Pharmacy. All their friends order on-line as well. I've done some research, and I found that only about 2% of all our medications are made in N Amer. The manufacturing is being done in countries like India or Israel. For eg. Pfizer (who makes Viagra) has 3 manufacturing plants in India right now. River Pharmacy started out by shipping medications out of Canada, but now most Canadian Pharmacies order directly from the manufacturers in India. Most plants in India are either FDA approved or approved through World Health Organization. I worked for a Canadian Internet Pharmacy for awhile, so am very familiar with their practices and attention to quality. From what I know about River Pharmacy, they are very reputable. Hope this helps. Sorry to go on so long.
