I've been reading many of the posts here, and I want to thank everyone for sharing their experiences. I've read the my way out story and it - along with all the threads - has given me the courage to get a hold of my drinking.
I want to curb my drinking, which can be very erratic. Sometimes nothing for a month or so, sometimes 2 glasses every other night, sometimes a bottle a night. This has been happening for the last couple years. I want to be one of those that can "take it or leave it."
I went to my gp and talked to him about topa and brought the lancet study, but he did not want to give me a prescription. He preferred I go to AA.
I have a job that requires random drug tests, so I don't want to just order topa online without a prescription. I can't take the chance of having prescription drugs in my system without a prescription. I know most drug tests won't pick up topa, but I don't want to lose my job.
I'm in Washington State, but can fly anywhere in the U.S.
Please post or message me if you know a "my way out" friendly doctor.
Thank you!
Pnut
