      Yes! It is the V slicer and I love it, although as Gabby said if you are not careful you can slit your wrists without knowing it and commit suicide.
      I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me

          I'm a certified chili-head. I like all things spicy and especially spicy and garlicky all at the same time.

          and you wont believe this but I don't have a special onion doo-hickey. I'm a bit of a traditionalist in the kitchen and risk my fingers on a regular basis with one of my super sharp chef knives from my completely mixed up collection.

          and now....I shall need a volunteer from the audience.....

                Det, send me your knives! I do not have an special onion thingy, but I do have a mandoline -- which is kinda like a V slicer, I think.

                      LVT25 sorry.

                      ok......so you have all the ingrediants.

                      Peppers, pork, tomatoes, onions, broth or stock from pork. Mix all together in large stock pot. Add lots of garlic, salt and pepper. (no other spices) Bring liquid level up by adding water and the chicken base stuff.

                      Bring to a boil and let simmer for the day.

                      This is sooo simple just a lot of prep work.

                      There isnt much time left to get chilis. The crops are comin to an end soon.

                        Ya need a lot of garlic and salt and pepper. You will be suprised how much. But know where to draw the line and dont over garlic.

                          then I put into qt size freezer bags and freeze.

                          If you want to try cumin or other mexican spices just work on your smaller qt bag.

                          Authentic green chile doesnt have cumin that is more of a red chili spice. I have heard of people puttin all kinds of spices in too. But I absoultly dont recommend it at all. Completely changes the taste.

                          If you want a hotter chili use hotter peppers. I dont even add jalapinos but get a pretty hot chili just from adding the hotter pepper. I think it keeps it tastie and not just burn your mouth off stuff.

                            Tips on the chilis.

                            Peel the skins off right away dont let them sit.

                            Easiest way in under running water. If you have a stubborn part gently go ober it with your finger nail or knife. But be sure to get everything off.
