Not at all Cymru, as I was a boozer at home and never went to the pub, so it is not an issue really. I have worked in bars since I was 19 so i don't really think about it. Hydrobathing the dogs is the worst time for me.

Thats good zep. Wish i could do that! Maybe in time ill be able to go back to what i truely enjoy, but at the mo i need to stay away from it. Thats terrible vlad. Cant believe they were trying to force you to drink at 9.30! They could prob have a can and carry on as normal. If i drank a can of guiness at 9.30 id get a taste for it and be pissed by 1 !!!!!To Infinity And Beyond!!

I guess as a chef you could drink while cooking, but I never had the opportunity to drink behind the bar so it definately isn't a trigger.
But since working with the greyhounds and being self employed I managed to drink all the time at home, man I shudder when I think about it now, sometimes I couldn't even remember what I fed the dogs that night. It's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.

I worked out the front of the restaurant, so it was even easier than being in the kitchen. Could just dissapear to the cellar, open a bottle and drink it during the shift. Sometimes after a bottle i just made my excuses, left work went home and got smashed. Any excuse. Im ill, my daughters ill, this and that all for the bottle. What a bloody idiot! To Infinity And Beyond!!

I hear you - I keep a diary of the dogs feeding and work regime and when I look back at last seasons diary most of it is illegible. If you want to hear something really yucky - my little bull terrier died last Halloween (she was a midget and obviously had some defects and she died in her sleep), but I was so busy getting shit faced I didn't notice she was dead until the next day. It makes me feel ashamed just thinking about it.It's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.

You should look back on it and try and take the positives of today out of it Zep. It awfull the things we do when were under the iron fist of alc. I remember once leaving work saying my gran was gravely ill, when she wasnt, yet a month or so later she died. Its what made me give up for over 4 years before. I felt so ashamed. To Infinity And Beyond!!

Hello everyone....posted in the wrong place yesterday. Just wanted to thank everyone for sharing your experiences, nice to know I am not alone out here. AF 15 days and counting and feeling great. Going to try this without supplements. I don't have cravings, just eat like an animal, but still losing weight. Have a great day everyone and thanks again.
