Yes, it is the friend who asked me to mix drinks and bring them to the meeting. I told her that I will pick her up for meetings as long as she is sober. She will be going to Inpatient treatment soon. I hope it works for her.

Thanks, Vlad. It's not bad here yet. Just hope it holds off until my husbo gets home from work. We're set with a full tank of gas in his Trooper and a full tank of propane for grill and camp stove so we can still eat if the electricity goes out. I printed a ton of photos yesterday so I have crafting I can do in the dark...LOL!!

WOW - the ex is at your place, Gia? That must be tough for you and Popeye. I am glad, however that he is engaging with his child. Although it must be confusing for her after all this time.

It is a beeautiful, sunny day here! It should get up to 25 they say. I am going to shower and then we are heading out the door on our excursion up island to do some shopping and just kick around.

Bad news here: Mother is sick (as I thought she was, last night). The doc finally saw her this morning, and is sending her to a regular hospital. Low hemoglobin, weakness, shortness of breath. She may or may not make it into her new home...

Yes, Gia, it has been quite the series of ordeals, or one very long ordeal, for her and for me, both. I'm doing OK, so far. Just taking it one step at a time. If she is actually dying now... that is OK. Very sad, but OK. I will grieve a lot for her, mostly because she made life so very difficult for herself and for others, too, and it seemed such a waste, so unnecessary. But there it is. She loved me, and loves me, as well as she can. Actually, I have been grieving ALL of this, for years and years. And did a lot of therapy around it, too. Very grateful I am not drinking, these days, during this stage of the saga.
