o2m...I watched it once when i was pissed. I will watch again sober. I sort of remember a guy whose eyes had gone yellow and a reall pissed women.
Got a strike with my first bowl last week rubes! My prob is not the first ball. Its when i have 1,2 pins left for my second. Can never hit them. Should i use a heavy or light ball?

I just noticed by some old threads that Evielou and New Day are exactly the same age!!!!
I hope everyone is enjoying the party; I am in the middle of work but just wanted to peek my head in and give my fondest wishes.
I am 1/2 Swedish (my grandfather was born in Sweden).
CY, I saw the cake-LOVE IT! You are a real sweatheart!!!
O2M-The poem rocks, as usual. We MWOites are going to have you gainfully employed before you blink and eye.

Hey all ---- Thanks for the birthday wishes! Wow Cymru ---- that was soooo sweet of you to make a cake for Evie & I. I'm sure it tastes as good as it looks ---- and sparklers too! I had to go hunting for the photo, but did find it way back there!
LTG ---- you are very talented with card making ---- also very generous of you to take the time to create 2 special cards. And yes, it will be my very first AF birthday at that!
This is a special birthday with special people.
I've been at a round of golf and then lunch with some friends and it's been a beautiful sunny and warm day ... just perfect for a game ... and my golf wasn't too bad either!

Will be going out for dinner and a movie with hubby tonight. My 2 girls are away living away from home ---- one lives downtown but it's too far to come up just for the evening, but I saw her on the weekend and the other lives a 4 hour flight away, but she texted and phoned.

Looks like this thread is staying as busy as ever! I can't always come on because my hubby doesn't know that I'm doing this... if he did.... I'm afraid I'd spend even more time on the computer! He does know that I'm going AF for the most part though and was surprised to hear me say I'm taking a break from AL. He'll be even more surprised when I don't have a drink (or 3) at dinner tonight! And for that I'm thankful to everyone here and MWO. Many thanks again to all!

Just back in town from going out of town (just 110 miles south of here) to testify in a case, and that went well, a little old-fashioned courthouse out in the country. The lawyer who cross examined me tried to be all fierce but accomplished pretty much zero. At least one woman on the jury clearly liked me a lot, and none of them were spitting nails at me.

Checking into the house really fast, to let dogs in and out, and check MWO!!! esp. the AF Army!! and next, to the hospital. Care manager called me while I was enroute home and said Mother is doing a lot better today, and she has had THE TALK with her, telling her WHERE she is going tomorrow, i.e., NOT HOME. Apparently that went OK. We'll see what it's like when she sees me!!! After that visit, teaching a meditation class this evening, 7-9 pm.

I'm very tired. Tomorrow will be really busy, too, but Friday I should be able to slow down just a bit.

Been too busy really even to think about drinking. I am coming up on 60 days AF, I think that will be on Saturday!

Sounds like everyone is doing great here, from the bits and bobs I was able to read, except NoneTwo feels awful... maybe a little better, by now? If not, then by tomorrow, I certainly hope!!

Oh my! One2 -- you are soooo good at writing poems! I only wish I was trim and good at everything! You make me laugh though ..... THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm close to tears.
