He probably ended up at Manchester Airport!

Oh yes and on the way there there was a woman staggering around. Everytime she nearly fell over, conscious that someone would have seen her, she tried to pretend it had been intentional and was part of a dance routine! Thus making her seem even more drunk.

OK, I have got on a train drunk a few times, once after 6 double vodkas got on the 1st class carriage by accident and tried to go through to standard class by trying to walk through the catering carriage. Needless to say I was stopped.

When I'm drunk I just like to sit in a corner and pretend I'm not.

I once got on the bus from town to go home, and did the full round trip and was woken up when the bus got back to town and told to get off!!

Vlad count ya lucky stars ya didn't have my 11 hr train journey from Scotland to Liverpool a few weeks back.

                    1. Stuck in the dark on the first train as the lights were broken in the carriage. Not that I minded as I'm used to sitting in the dark with my headphones on blasting out Thievery Corporation!.
                    2. Got off the train at Haymarket (which is the stop I'm used to for my change in Edinburgh) to find I need to stay on an extra stop and go to Edinburgh train station not Haymarket. Thankfully I was able to jump back on the train before it left the station JUST!!
                    3. Train from Edinburgh was total chaos with loads of pissed Scots on it singing at the top of their voices! "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" and "Follow the leader leader leader" where to top 2 and seemed to be repeated many times over!.
                    4. Lost my bakkie on that train somewhere so was left scrounging fags at York where I had to wait for over an hour. Thankfully had good chat with guy who was just heading off for his 2nd tor of Iraq. He made a lot of sense and was not just your average soldier etc. He had a brain!!
                    5. Got into a near brawl with 2 guys at Manchester Piccadilly. Some little homeless twats off their heads on speed. Long story but was provoked when he swung his sweaty sock round while I was trying to eat a buttie and it hit me over the head. Little fucka did it on purpose and as I was tired i went for him. Not like me at all but obviously the CCTV and 24hr police pressence at the concourse there may have swayed me too.
                    6. Finally get on the last train to Liverpool at about 4.45 and the inspector starts being a bit funny over the fact that my ticket shows valid until 5th September rather than 6th September. Tried to explain I'd been traveling all night so it's an overnight tkt etc so not my fault if the issuer has put wrong date on.
                    7. Get into Liverpool 10mins early which means i have to now wait longer at the Main Line Station before the tubes start running for the day. Tried to look for taxi but ranks have all closed as they change shifts over between 5 and 6am. So without a taxi in sight I wander back to the main line area and sit for another 45mins before heading down to get my tube.
                    8. Finally got home feeling like i'd been 'speeding' for days so couldn't sleep at all.

Those late night trains on a Friday WHEREVER they're going always seem to have a load of drunks on em though!!

I love it when that happens, people who do that are angels in disguise, helping us to remember why we aren't drinking!

                        Good for you, vlads!!!

Wip, I was thinking of you too. I was in the book shop .....again....trying to find the Tao of Sobriety that you recommended. Well, I was searching through the Self Help section which is near the Sex and Relationships section. This poor lad in his 20's was trying to secretly have a look in that section and everytime I looked anywhere near him he diverted over to Healthy Eating LOL. anyway, I didn't want to make him uncomfortable so I left him to it. Will get the book from Amazon I think.
