Hey y'all, thanks for asking! Mother is doing well, yesterday was a big day. She moved from hospital to a small group home for Alzheimer's patients, and so far she's handling it OK. Big disappointment for her since of course she wants to go home... but it just isn't possible for her, any more. We tried it... major FAIL. This is a great alternative. I hope to be able to focus more on other things in life, I have had to be so incredibly attentive to this situation, for the last 3 months!
Today is 60 days AF for me, so all in all it's a GREAT weekend. Went out yesterday and bought myself a new camera. I love photography and really want to get back into working/playing at it!
Hoping everyone here is well; Limers and Marbs and Chelle, I'm so glad you are sticking with us and keeping on, despite some little setbacks. Hipps, the "want ads" post was HILARIOUS!

Good Morning Army
Thank you so much for encouraging me to go to the AA meeting One2 and Cymru. It was Great!! There were 4 medallions presented for lengths of sobriety. Two people got 21 year medallions, one for 8 years, and I was most impressed by a 26 year old man who got one for 6 years AF. Imagine at 26!! Well today is the big Freedomfest. Then I go marijuana free. That is if I even get to go. My daughter left here late last night to meet her bass player boyfriend after his gig and never came home. I am supposed to go to the festival with her and her girlfriend. I have never been to the festival and just wanted to check it out once. I was too paranoid when I lived in Boston, being a Nurse and all. I hope you and Mia are feeling better One2. How is Cym today? A Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18. I wanted something smaller than my big SLR, but a bit "more camera" than the tiny Casio that I have. I really like to use a viewfinder, those screens on the back just drive me nuts when I am trying to frame a shot. And this little fellow got a lot of great reviews on Amazon. It's lightweight and not too big to take a lot of places where I would not take the SLR. And has a great optical zoom feature.LookingToGrow;417177 wrote: WIP, I just got a new camera also. Sea, I recently got out my old 3-year "chip" from AA, and I am carrying it around in my pocket as inspiration and as a hope to one day "earn" another one. It meant a lot to me when I got it, and so I saved it (in a drawer, out of sight...). Glad I did so, and could find it.Seacailin;417180 wrote: Good Morning Army

One of these days I am going to post something about what I learned from AA; it was quite a lot. Even though I "went out there" drinking again, big-time, what I learned from my time in AA is coming through for me, in a major way, right now. I am really grateful for it. I hope you find it helpful, too!
