I must have my head up my bum this morning.... sorry I just read your post about last night.

Jolly well done firstly, it's not easy to be in your old drinking turf and stay AF, it just goes to show how strong and determined you are. It must've give you such a warm and fuzzy feeling for hubby to have said that to you. I know when my hubby pay's me just the slightest compliment about my AF-ness it lights up my day.

Morning all. Lovely morning here in Wales. Day 28 for me and feeling good and positive. Got a careers advice interview today, so hopefully get something from that.
Chelle...So glad your feeling positive. Great start to the thread.
Starting...what a moving text. Your family will always be there for you. Nice to have someone up the same time as you this morning i bet!

Hello All

My probably only post of the day so I better make it a good one....

I am sorry to say I fell of the wagon again last night. No real reason- met up with a non- alkie friend who comes over here once every 2 months or so, and she said she was going to have a drink, so I thought -OH Yes- and me!'

The difference of course being, she can have A DRINK- I cannot.

So although I posted 2 days ago I would not be around too much, it looks like I will be around because although I hate to admit it, I need this forum and you guys more than I thought.

Starting- your post made me cry- I don't really know why, I think because it was straight from your heart and so honest or maybe because I have a hangover.

Vladders or anybody else posting from work- do you know you can use a proxy site- just type proxy site into google. then you can access MWO or any other dodgy site for that matter without anyone knowing.

Hmmm Cy- they dont sound very great to me- you have been waiting ages for them. What about trying other agencies? I mean you are obviously very well qualified, even I can see that from our contact- I think anyone would be mad not to employ you.

congrats all, tht id say hi,marbella dont be so hard on yourself,you and all the others recognise the problem,just by coming here wehter your wet or dry hahaha doesnt matter we have each other,i was at my concillors yesterday and he worked with me months ago,the wisdom he has is remarkable,i xplained to him what was going on and what he said helped,told him how i got started again, it wasnt surprising to him,we tend to put are selves in volnerable spots,put a dog near food they will usually eat,let a cat out it will rome the neighbourhood,not al people would be happy about tht hahha,have or put AL or Drugs out by a peson with an addiction they will eventually use,as ive herd here many times ,its advertised around us eveywhere,tht will never change,only WE can make the difference,stand together as a group we are strong as ONE I fall,dang i hope this helps i needed to let go,just a teensy bit,haaha ,you all have a great day,by the way ALL have a great weekend GYCO

Good morning all! My critters got me up for a quick run outside at 5am but they settled back down so we all could sleep till 6:30. It's just wonderful to have a normal sleep pattern back! Hate to think what else was going badly downhill in my brain/body while I was getting stewed in alcohol every night...

Chelle, you really are doing great! And vlads I am SO impressed!! Almost 30 days! StartingO, I was really touched by your story, too. What a wonderful thing that your husband is so supportive and appreciative. There are so many here for whom that is not the case... Marbs, damn, sorry you have a hangover this morning AND I am so glad you came right back here, knowing how to do what you really want to do (get that crap out of your life!)... you know you have friends who are cheering for you! Cy... bugger... I know something is coming through for you, just the not knowing when or where, the uncertainty is SO frustrating. You are doing so well with all of it, I am so impressed! And Gia, great to be feeling good, yes? DB, I said this in another thread... but worth it to say again, have a GREAT trip!

I will probably be going down to Florida on Sunday, to spend a couple of days looking in to the situation with my mother's house down there. She pretty much abandoned it 5 years ago. It had been her parents' and then, after they died, it was rental property. But after the hurricanes 5 years ago she threw out the tenant, and then decided not to repair the damage. Completely irrational but there was nothing I could do about it. Now I need to go down there and make some decisions. Not really looking forward to it. Anyone here live near the Orlando area? The house is in Sanford...
