How does that Royal Jelly come...in powder..in pills? I have seen it as an ingredient in make-up. Is it good for the smokes cravings or just AL?
O2M, I keep hesitating to quit because it is harder for me than quitting AL. I get the 'skin crawling" cravings with smokes that I never have experienced with AL. I am almost at 60 days so I think that will be my goal date to quit. I will need to prepare. I am a 20/day smoker as yourself. I wish I would have stayed quit when I quit 18 years ago. I picked it up again, after 17 years TF, about a year ago. What an ijit am I????
WIP, How is your MOM? I sense some lightness in your tone. Is it because you have your Mom in a place that is right for her at this time? You just sound more free of burdens, if that makes sense...more living of your own life...
Kriger, I found it at Walmart in softgel form - 500mg. I just started it yesterday. I think it takes a bit of time to build up in your system, like most supps. It's suppose to help with AL and nicotine cravings and fix some body parts as well. I'll see if I can find my post on it.

We could start a NF thread on 10/1, maybe?

Kriger, thanks for asking, here's what I just posted in subs:

I have to report here that I had a GOOD visit with my mother today. As usual, I was reluctant to go, dreading it, actually. She had left a phone message for me yesterday, demanding that I get over there because she was being held captive, etc. Anyhow, I have made a personal commitment to go over there every other day, for the time being, so I went. She was lying on her couch, and when she saw me she sounded just delighted and hugged me (rare, for her). She agreed to go outside with me to sit, and the nurse helped her get dressed. I could hear her in the bathroom, laughing about something the nurse said; it was so wonderful to hear her laugh! She asked me about whether we were "ever going back to Kansas City" (of course she's still in KC), and I explained again that she'd been in the hospital, and needed to stay there for a while to get her strength back up. She asked how much it costs, and I told her Medicare was paying for most of it (not true). And I told her the only other option was for her to go back to her house with "those women" (the in-home caregivers) in her house all the time. She said "Well, then I'd rather stay right here; it's nice here." WOW!!!

You just never know. This is how Alzheimer's is: the good days and the bad days, the fluctuation in levels of confusion. Apparently yesterday she took her walker and rammed poor old Fred (the patient who remembers only that his name is Fred and he's a Presbyterian minister) with it. But then she's been doing that in the grocery store, for years, whenever people got in her way... And they aren't threatening to throw her out, over it. The staff seems pleased with her adjustment. And so am I.

For today, anyhow, it's a great relief.

Good deal, WIP. I'm glad to hear it. Somehow I thought this would be the perfect place for her.

LTG, NF Thread sounds great! I am so ready to stop these nasty things!!! I'm going to Walmart over the weekend to get the Royal Jelly. Oct 1st is just around the corner!
O2M, So you're on board to be our leader? We'll see what Hips says...if he doesn't want to I will still do it with you. You know O2 that you have the nicotine out of your system within 36 hours...does that make you feel accomplished?

Hipps, it's been a couple of pages back, but I have to say I didn't have a good feeling about the Wales trip for you, and I'm so glad that you seem to be recognizing that you might really be needing another direction right about now. Sounds as if you are getting a lot of stuff in your head clearer and that you are feeling stronger, and calmer. That is so wonderful! It's so hard to sort out when we are kidding ourselves, isn't...

p.s. to Cy: not that there is ANYTHING wrong with Wales, my dear!!!
