He, above anyone else, understands that part of the journey. He has not had to deal with that yet, but I know he would not bat an eye. He looks at me and sees the strongest woman in the world. I now just wish he would join me. Except for the night of the car incident, he has been drinking much less and I see him popping vitamins. I am hoping for the day he decides to quit...I can't lose sleep over that tho..Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008

Krigs.. It must be so hard striving hard to quit and seeing the benifits while at the same time seeing the one you love drinking so much. Dont even know what id do if in that position. Makes you think about your own problems and put them into perspective. To Infinity And Beyond!!

It can be hard, my hub drinks and smokes so in that respect both of my vices are freely available whenever. Watching someone you love ruin their health is not easy and seeing my mum go through lung cancer has made it doubly hard.

I wrote on my facebook page earlier as my status that 'Cymru cant take it anymore, im sorry' with reference to my relationship with my G/F. An hour later my friend and his wife came over to see if i was o.k, cause they thought it was reference to me trying to top myself! We had a good laugh about it and it was nice of them to care. They were stonned too!! Then, my mate in New Zealand(!) sent me a text asking 'you o.k mate??' Oh the wonders of the net!To Infinity And Beyond!!

Cy, It is hard. Some days are better than others for him. I have pretty much stopped buying beer for him because he has to drink so much of it to get a buzz (3.2% here in this state). It just costs us a fortune. I am buying white wine so we spend less. Yesterday he asked me to get him one of those big cans (he always drinks bottled beer) of bud light. I did because I know he misses his beer. It's hard to NOT enable."People usually fail when they are on the verge of success. So give as much care to the end as to the beginning." Lao-Tzu

By the way, O2M, nothing you could say would ever upset me because I know everything you speak comes from you true caring and love for all of us."People usually fail when they are on the verge of success. So give as much care to the end as to the beginning." Lao-Tzu
