    'Morning, all. Sort of. Phone woke me, so I'm still sleepy. Hubs started an outage today, which means I won't see him again til after Christmas. He's in charge of planning, supervising, tearing down and repairing all the turbines at the power plant where he works, a massive job including hiring and supervising all the contractors, timing, budget, etc. etc. He likes his work, which is why he hasn't retired, but tends to bring it home with him. I was supposed to go at 7:00 AM for my flu shot but slept thru appointment. Heard my ghost last night. Thought Hubs was in the kitchen getting ready for work, but when I went in, light was off and it was 4:00 AM. Just went back to bed.

      It was a real novelty in our house when we got one! I couldn't stop making the damn drinks even though I didn't want one!!. The gas bottle had to be changed within a week!!. I'd always fizz it up to it's max as well to see what happened. That's a whole other story though!!

        Forgot, I actually posted to tell ya'll I finally managed to post 2 pics, then 'puter started throwing up again. Pics are Berit on deck of our cabin, and youngest granddaughter, Gracie, napping with Sadie. Off to try my luck again. Learning this much has strained mmy weak brain. See ya'll later.

            Bonjour all. had a good session(!) tdy and i feel i come out with something to think over in a positive way every time i see her. Today we talked about when the last time was that i felt part of a 'family' and it really got me thinking about things i had never thought of before. People i have worked with in the restaurant for large stints, being part of the hockey team when i was younger. Being with my bro and G/F, but when i was drinking(most of the time) i didnt feel like i was part of anything and i think the lonliness led to my drinking. I long to lead the normal family life that i never had when i was young, due to my parents working and being away most of the time, my mothers drinking, living in the middle of no where. Very interesting.
            O2M..I am on prozac too( we should start the prozac thread!) and like starting and chelle only started to feel the positive effects when i stopped drinking. Have had no real side effects that i have noticed.
            Limers...Thank you for your post you limey, slimey buddie you!
            Hipps...have been seeing the councellor for 3 months, and she specialises in people with alcohol addiction. It was something i did off my own back. Ive joined the 66 movie site but cant seem to get the movies started...any help?

                  Chef, good to hear about your session. I know what you mean about being part of a family. I have some issues on that, especially with my kids and GS being in CA whilst I'm in TX with my stepkids. I think I will write to myself about that today. Everytime I get this far into being AF I get weepy about it - and often cave at this point. Perhaps if I write about it, that will help. I know we often joke about things on this thread but today I am thinking about your post and the one that O2M posted the other day about the mask thing. Two really good things to digest and consider...

                    Cym good to hear things went well today. I just had a 'run of the mill' counselor and I think she just sat there most of the time and let me vent. She occasionally questioned my motives for doing certain things, which in turn made me think, but that idea of 'family' has really got me thinking myself now!

                    yeah 66stage movie site? I'll send you a pm through a bit later mate. I think I 'upset' a member the other day with posting the link as they work in the industry. Gotta see it from all points of view i guess! Will get back to ya later mate!

                          Hi all,

                          I am a renewbie - have been around before but am back now full force. Going for an AF October.

                          Simba - one question. What did you drink? My children have celiac disease (gluten intolerance) and it can manifest with skin rashes and joint issues. It is autoimmune as well. If you were a beer drinker (or some types of liquor) then it would make sense that your symptoms got better when you stopped as they are full of gluten. You might want to ask your GP. Celiac disease can go undiagnosed. Just my armchair diagnosis.
