        I"m pissed that the positive notes about her "performance" in the debate seem to be that she did well considering who she is -- rather then a potential VP and stand-in for the leader of our nation! "For a bimbo, she did very well."

            Chyrsa.....That was'nt blood. They were just marked for Shearing. I just made a reference that in other admin. they actually had barn yard animals rooming around the White House Grounds. IAD

                I saw an interview on 20/20 last night with Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain.
                They were both pretty real and open .
                Cindy talked about her years of drug use and raising her kids while her husband was on "deployment" serving his country in Washington.
                Michelle said several times that what they went through was just "politics".....the Rev. Wright thing and her saying that for the first time she was proud to be an American.
                I saw a somewhat different side .
                Just my thoughts.

                  I'm sorry folks, but I'm still so angry. The press is still saying Palin did well for "who she is" i.e. does that mean for being a woman? They are still saying Biden had to restrain himself so he didn't look "sexist." I'm a woman and can stand up to the same standards as any man. Don't treat us differently. I think her choice has damaged us as a gender. Sorry, that's how I feel.

                    Totally agree with you- If a man performed the way that she did in the debate (not even mentioning the winking- I am dumbfounded) he would have been laughed off the planet. I think Palin sets women back a generation with her stupid antics. Woman who are seeking a powerful position don't have to act like men AT ALL- however it is incumbent upon them to BE PREPARED for the work at hand otherwise they are just another human being who is not qualified. This is not even about the issues- it is about something more fundamental. Being (in)capable of doing a job and 'getting a pass' because you are a woman. Count me out of that one.

                      I too think that she (Palin) has damaged us. That is why Katie Couric did her thing. I applaud Katie.

                      Belle, I liked what you said about the C. MCain & Michelle on 20/20. They both have struck me as real people, good people, strong, honest, intelligent women. I am really glad to hear Cindy be honest about her drug addiction. I remember it because I too was adiictred to pain-killers for migraines many years ago.

                          I love that Hippie. I finally watched the debate on Youtube. Both of them sucked. I wish Obama had picked Hillary; she would have kicked Palin's ass.
