    AF Alternative Drinks

Just curious what others drink in the evening or weekends as as alternative to beer and wine. Sometimes water gets old. Looking for healthy sugar-free alternatives. Thanks.

Green tea with mint, or with lemon, over ice! I love it and drink a LOT of it. If I am going to a party at someone's house, I usually take some with me, because I don't like the usual "soft drinks."

        Lime and Lemonade for me
Or, if its flavoured water, then "Perfectly Clear Lemon n Lime" is lush.
With my sore throat and flu bug, Ive recently discovered the delights of a hot blackcurrant with honey too.. yum.

Light Cranberry Juice cut with soda. Fits the bill for 'bublles" as well as color, can be served in a mixed drink glass, looks the same; you can order it in a bar and nobody knows that you are not "drinking" I prefer it in a wine glass in the evening because that is when i used to drink wine.

I tried the non alcaholic beer last time but think i'm gonna try something else..Like the idea of the lemon and lime...Something with a bit of bite..

I have been drinking a soft drink called relentless in the day so to put off the beer till later in the day...But that has so much caffine i think it will kill me before the beer does..lol

Irishguy - you got a blender? You could try your hand at making your own non-al smoothies. Loadsa fruit, lemonade, ice...bit of cream and bob's your uncle.
Thefirst few attempts will be so sickly sweet it'll take your mind off the booze, lol.

Ooohh... just thought of another one.. but this will be more of a dessert drink... ICE CREAM FLOATS
                  yum.

Cranberry juice and fizzy ( lemondae or soda) or if you want a smoothy, locate some kefir grains, make kefir, and honey, berries etc. and it is is yum, but also really really good for you.

Me and Montana Mommy have been trying V-8. Taste good, just can't drink too many as they can get heavy. Thanks for the thread, I keep trying to find a substitute that I like. Tried AF wine...yuck.

                        Good Luck to you
:flower: I'm not as good as I'm gonna get, but I'm better than I used to be.

Yeah, I tried the AF wine a it just made me crave an AL wine.
Tasted like there was something missing (Yes, I know there WAS, but it kinda made me crave it all the more).
I steer clear of af beers/wines they justmake me want the 'real thing'.

                          Thought of another couple fizzies...:
                          Dandelion and Burdock
Sarsaparilla (I think that's the correct spelling)
                          and also... Appletise

                            Sparkly water

                            Hi there
I'm new here but I've been around for a week or so, and have proudly cut back my wine to about 2 small glasses a night ( from 3/4 of a bottle). So when the clock strikes 8pm ( that may sound random but i needed to have a time that i can no longer go back to the kitchen and "freshen" my wine glass. So, then its tea, or Komboocha in a wine glass, or bubbly water with lemon in my most beautiful crystal wine glass. It's odd because I'm not even really getting a buzz with the 2 glasses, then the water makes me full, and then, well, it ain't over yet, but its getting easier. Hope that helps.
