    AF Army 11th October

One 2 that is fantastic news, I am sure she is as tough as old boots (meant in a nice way) and will be absolutely fine.

Also starting, good news from WIP and Sea? Sounds a bit more positive.

Well that has cheered me up a bit! Am off to meet my mum in France tomorrow- I am taking 3 dogs from the local refuge which she will rehome in the UK.

It is a stressful day, and a bit of a trigger for me- stray dogs- going to the refuge, mum is very disorganised and by the time I get home I am usually gagging for a drink. I have had a bit more control lately though, thank God. Although I could not take the Naltrexone for long- it seems to have done a bit of good.

Catch you all later- off to buy my nan a pressie to give to my mum. She has just had her 88th birthday

Starting, after doing alot of negative thinking this week, I am taking a different look at things. You know, like being grateful for what I do have and what I can do. My being in CA is not going cure her infection or ease her pain, BUT sending her a surprise package will cheer her up So, that is what I am doing today. I am having fun putting it all together :wings:

Yes, very good to hear One2
SO, yes, we must advocate for our loved ones sometimes. Trust me, the medical staff will be grateful to you. It is awful when one of our patients does not let us know what is really going on until something very serious happens. Prevention is Key. Hugs to you and prayers for your Mom. I have had quite a few patients over the years with pulmonary embolisms and I am pleased to tell you that they all recovered.

Sea/O2M....give myself ulcers worrying about the "young'uns". I hope I have taught them well, sea, it seems that no matter how many rules you give them, the "Let me know where you are going, and when you'll be home" rule always slips their minds!!! LOL

Sea, great news!!! Made me laugh about your patients trying to escape together )
Marbs, hi! I know what you mean about the stray dogs. Working with strays always sent me straight to the bottle. I do take my hat off to you though, you are doing such a great job. When I am ready to take on another dog I will ask you.
You sound positve though and that is great.
AK thank you! I am worried that you had a breakdown though are you OK ???

                                Hi Everybody,
It's 11a here and I am just drinking my first cup of coffee; it was a wonderful lie in for me.
Start, Have a good visit with your Mum and by all means tell the nurses she feels worse; Sea is right about keeping them informed-it is very important.
O2M, I am glad your Mum feels better...I know the waiting for the prognosis is tough
Marbs, You are such a good soul to help all those homeless pets...I admire your selfless efforts.
LTG, Getting a pkg ready to send to Katrina is a great fun thing to do to get your mind going in a positive direction.
Chelle and Cy, I hate to figure dinner out without $$ to go to the store, but I'm sure with the kitchen skills you both have your dinners will be sublime!
AK, You, I want to know what happened last night; a nervous breakdown???
Vlad, Send us a pic of your fruit bread.
Hips, Enjoy your time with Jas.
Sea, I'm glad you said that about your former patients with pulmonary em; that should make Start feel much more at ease about her mum. I'm glad you heard from your daughter. My son did that once (uncharacteristically) and it drove me crazy until he answered my text. Thank heavens they have txt messaging because they can answer without anyone knowing they are talking to their mother!
LTG, I might finally go to Hobby Lobby today...the weather is going to be sucky all weekend.
WIP, Get out of the house, girl and send us some great pics. I just looked at all your pics in the gallery a couple of days ago-they are all SO good. It appears you are having great fun with your new camera.
I'll be here most of the day because of the weather, so let's have fun. Let's try to talk about things to take our minds off our troubles.... What is everyone planning for Halloween?
