Me too I celebrate it every day - its a miracle I tell ya. Just being able to enjoy every day without that constant guilt and anxiety and sense of failure must have added at least a year or two back onto the 10 years I have taken off my life from smoking and drinking!

Sometimes I think we are the lucky ones to have sunk so low. Does that sound mad?? it is just that I appreciate the small things so much now. Whereas before I was always looking for the big unattainable things to change my life

Yes I agree in my case the horror of it all is still very fresh in my mind and there is absolutely nothing will ever take me back there - nothing. Its such a relief isnt it. I mean I still have to be very vigilant but thats a small price to pay.

Yes, you are right, It is a relief. I still remember some of the awful things I did and the way I felt. In fact if I am craving that is the first thing I think about.
