And you know One - most of the army are doggie people - so if you have any concerns just ask.

I love Cesar Milan too Starting. Barbara Woodhouse was an old english women who trained dogs when I was a kid. She was my idol then.

Yeah WIP - hasn't dog training come a long way since Barbara - I used to imitate her when I was a kid - my poor labrador must have hated me, LOL

Just remember One - don't let his cutsie wootsieness fool you - he is still a dog and thinks just the same as a big dog, otherwise he will rule the roost.

That's right, he will appreciate firmness, doggies like to have someone who tells them what to do, and who congratulates them when they do it!

Firstly - don't let him do anything as a baby that you don't want him to do as an adult. As starting said "Start how you wish to carry on" (or something like that).

Dogs actually love boundaries - it's too stressful for them not knowing the rules - remember they are pack animals and want a leader - that must be you.

Too many people don't treat their small dogs like dogs - just imagine he is a great dane and treat him like that.

One thing is not too much petting unless he has first done something that you asked him to do. Start out very early teaching him to sit and come to you, then reward him when he does. He will like that and get used to you being the boss, the one he wants to please.
