I personally use negative reinforcement for behaviours I absolutely want to extinguish, like biting, jumping up on people etc. And positive reinforcement for behaviours I want to encourage.

Exactly. Turn your back on him when he is doing something you don't like. Yelling "no" is not helpful!

I ignore bad behaviour (they hate being ignored) and reward good

Yes start training him from day one, the younger he is the better - his little brain will be like a sponge.

Never yell, never get stressed when training or dealing with them. They pick up on feelings very easily

Yes Cesar is the dog whisperer - watch his shows if you can - he has a lot of little dogs on there that are little monsters because their owners have ruined them.

You want him to be a nice dog not a little shite - the dogs at the pub where I work are shites and no one likes them - except their owners - I actually feel sorry for them because their true potential has not been released.

I'd actually like to take them to my place for the weekend and sort them out. It's quite sad to watch really as they are now 10 months old and when the are adults they are going to be arseholes.

But their owners won't listen to me, so what can I do?
