Yes..he is as beautiful in person as on screen. He has no beard stubble on his smooth beautful soft brown skin. His teeth are perfect. His eyelashes curl. Yes, I was cheek to cheek, nose to nose. I could have gone mouth but his SS would have frowned.

What scares me is that gun nut, Sarah Palin. She whips up the religious fanatic racists that attend these huge rallies into a frenzy by saying insane things that question Obama's Americanism. Cries of "Terrorist," "Kill him," are not to be taken lightly. Did any of you see the guy with the stuffed monkey with the Obama hat on it? This is real, people. The hatred that exists out there is breathtaking. I feel quite certain that many of the people attending these rallies have huges caches of weapons and will not hesitate to use them.

I am old enough to remember the sixties when Jack Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Bobby Kennedy were all killed. Being an old anti-Viet Nam war hippie myself, I had such high hopes back then for our society. What a disappointment.

I am frightened for Obama. I can only hope that if he is elected (although I am sure the RNC is doing all it can to steal this election, too) our security measures are such that we can protect him from the same fate. Kay

You're right Kay, there are a lot of dangerous racists out there and I'm sure the Obama's are aware of it. But I'm sure glad he's running and I sure hope he wins, because as much as I think McCain would be four more years of Bush, if were to die in office and Palin took over...........shudder. :eeks:

For Palin to not have the person immediately removed from the rally who yelled, "kill Obama" is despicable. At least McCain had the decency to strike that one woman down in another rally when she said she was scared of Obama because he was an Arab. McCain got very pissed and, while I am not voting for him, I was proud he stood up and said he absolutely was not.
