Hi Mich, hang in there. I liken this to a journey and there are twists and turns as we go and yes, sometimes slips. But all the time we are learning what works for us and how we can move forward (an also what doesnt). I am sort of at the what next stage (3 months) and for me I think quite dangerous. I need to make good plans to KEEP myself sober when the going gets tough. Which of course it will, cos thats life. You are moving through and have just learned something that didnt work for you. Dont beat yourself up USE it. Keep talking hun i always find that that helps me.

Mich....starting over is absolutely right!! What only you can decide is what works for you. What works for me may not work for you, but for me it is this site, these people, and knowing that at any time I can pop on here and talk to some one. I am on here all the time, listening, watching and learning. I have 17 months next thursday minus 3 days in August. I have been closer to slipping these last two weeks then I have been in a long time and this is the only thing that saved me!!! Remember that you will decide what works for you. You'll know when you find it!

What wormers are you giving him? They are from a vet and not a pet shop arent they????

I am not sure about treating pups for fleas as I have never had one. Only adult dogs but I worm mine every 3-6 months and flea them just in the summer if they need it. You will have to speak to someone who knows about pups re the fleas.
I use Drontal (big boy tabs) for mine.....

Evening all. I am NEVER getting a dog! Worms in pooh...lol
Today went o.k at the docs. Took G/F in with me, and she started crying when she talked about me, which upset me a bit. My doc is really nice, but couldnt give me all that much advice, and i think is a little inexperienced in that field. Just said to keep seeing the councellor. He did put me on the sick for 3 weeks, which will help the benifits. Going to phone the mortgage people tmr and try and get some help there, and see if i can get off paying council tax.
Sorry to hear youve been so down Mich. Had a terrible couple of days this week, and really let people down with my drinking, my family at home and here. We have to get up and move on and try not to dwell on it. Take care.
