Yes you have to go to the doc for it and it has a list of side effects as long as your arm but I didnt suffer from any really (except good ones). Its $89 for the starter pack which lasts about 2 months. It is not recommended for people who suffer from depression but I found it the opposite it made me even more hyper than I usually am. It blocks the Nicotene receptor in the brain so you dont get a hit from it and instead it gives a periodic dopamine hit to mimic the effect of the nicotene so you dont crave the nicotene - very clever. You can actually stay smoking while you are on it and eventually by about day 10 you just give up as you get nothing from the cigs.

The silly thing with me BH is I don't think I'm addicted to nicotine, I'm addicted to the habit of lighting something and smoking it. I went onto no nicotine herbal ciggies once and was fine, except they tasted like camel dung.

I just need to give myself a good kick up the arse.

No the doctor told me that most people only take it for 3 months but the cravings can come back after that apparently so you can take it for 6 months if you need to or longer I think. Depends on the person probably. I only took it for a month as I only smoked when I drank and that was long enough for me to break the cycle. I did have strong cravings a couple of times after I came off it which I got through by the skin of my teeth (daughter caught me trying to sneak fag!). hell hath no fury like a teenage daughter catching her mother trying to sneak a stolen smoke!

I'm back. Trying not to antagonize Hubs anymore tonite. Prob is our son. Hubs is afraid stress will make me drink, and I am too. Son's bitch wife has screwed the kitty now. She's openly dating a drug addict, so lawyer says son can get kids and pay her nothing. Then on my home from cabin my bitch nosy neighbor spots me in grocery store and comes over to tell me one their mutual friends is getting divorce andshe's after son hot & heavy. He likes the attention, asked me why he doesn't have the right to be happpy? I can't stand her. She broke up her first marriage to marry this guy, and now she want's Rick. I told him to date anyone else in the world he wants, but to never, ever, ever bring her on my property. Don't know what will happen. He's just vulnerable now.

BH, thanks for the feedback on this. I think I heard something about 44% of people stay quit after 12 weeks of use. I think that's pretty good.

Yes I tried the herbal ones too. The rose scented ones - tasted like rose scented camel dung! And the amount of smoke one cig generated - it was like sitting around a smoking campfire just lighting one of them.
