I'm probably going to regret this and should keep my mouth shut but...I live in Alaska, my bf is an avid hunter and the reason they have contolled hunting of wolves is for population control. It was explained to me like this. Wolves don't have many natural enemies, they're population goes way up, in turn the moose population goes way down. It is more humane than the disease and starvation that occur when things are way out of balance. It is not done for the "fun of it". It is researched and done for a reason.

KTB, I am truly not trying to start anything, this is just what I know.

Well I found out the hard way that there is a reason we don't feed the deer here in the winter (we had a really harsh one last year and I could'nt stand to watch them starve)
So now it is open season because of the over population.

Nature is kinda out of balance so there are places that wildlife doesn't have enough land to support their numbers and slowly starve to death.Sad but true...
