Hey Dork!
It's not that I was trying to come down hard on my ex or even Cym's g/f. I totally appreciated where she was coming from to be honest. I could see it from her point of view. But for me it was a godsend finding a forum like this. I needed that 'connection' with fellow 'alkies' so I didn't feel so alone in my struggles. She still couldn't see that though and that's what pissed me off. Admittedly if I WAS spending too much time online then I would 'pull back' and make time for her. The thing was though at that time I was doubting whether we still had a relationship in the first place. I kind of preffered being on the forum rather than spending time with her. I used the forum probably to 'get away' from the truth and the decision I knew I had to make. Well as you know after another month being sober I finally made the desicion to call it a day.

thank you starts. You make perfect sense. She has gone through alot of stuff herself that I will pm u about, but its very diff for her sometimes and I do understand that. Its just that its constant at the mo and it seems nothing will change her view on it.
Thanks for all your views peeps. Off to town now. Speak soon.To Infinity And Beyond!!

KP she might settle down. Being with someone with a problem is a tough thing to do. Anyway, you have to stay here because it really helps YOU and right now, thats what you need. You wont be any good to her if you are drinking.Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008

I dont mind you asking at all Mr G.
I stopped drinking on 9th July. I was suffering from severe depression, personal probs and all the crap that comes with that.
I read the book, got some supplements, went on Prozac and had counselling. I cannot quite believe how much better I feel now.
So in a nutshell I think its going well, cravings are much easier and I am now learning to live a life without alcohol or drugs.Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008
