    STARVING!

    Hey guys,

    So, I am on day 5... (yay) and I an freakin starving!!!! I am sick as a dog, and I still cannot get enough food stuffed in my face. Has anyone else experienced this as a result of not drinking? I mean....I feel like I smoked a huge bag of pot. (but I didnt)

    sorry but lmao yes i feel like that at times too .. dont worry it will easy up and dont think you have to go on a diet right now.. dont worry you can lose that later ..eat and be happy ..
    but try to eat the right things
    rice, pasta ,munchy for me ..but if you must ..salad all things like that

    PS and drink lots of water, tea with honey and try not to drink too much coffee..
    stay strong and think positive..
    ps AGAIN great job on 5 day af and hope you fell better soon

      Yea....I just made a kick ass ( i hope as it is still baking) vegetarian casserole with mushrooms, peas, onions and potatoes. Also ate a bag of Doritos (small one) HAHAHAHAHA
      I did have a salad for lunch...

          If your body has been using AL for blood sugar production, then that system will crash for a few days when you abstain. Low blood sugar can cause you to be hungry.

          If this is the case; you can't eat glucose directly because it would be broken down by your digestion. And Sugar is not glucose, and eating it can diminish glucose production.

          Try whole grains, granola, oatmeal cookies (my favorite), fruit juices, and fruit. Avoid protein when you are eating carbs, so eat the cracker but not the cheese. Eat three complex carb "snacks" a day and separate carb intake from your three healthy meals that are high fiber, high veggie and low fat. You should get a glucose boost within 30 minutes of a "snack" and within a couple days your body should be back in sync. No need to eat a lot of food. Just work on eating the right foot, and snacking with healthy carbs.

              Cke...That is the best bit....At the moment i eat like a 4 yr old...When my rehab starts on Monday i know i am gonna get my appetite back..And i can't wait..

              Last time i did it 2006 ..12 days in rehab...It was a shit place...But i really enjoyed eating a full breakfast every morning...The old taste buds re-appear...And you can enjoy food without thinking im gonna bloat myself and it will effect my drink buzz..

                  hope things get better 1 2 3 remember what you put in the bod b4 was not suppose to be there,we can try all the antidopes we want ,the only real to feel,dont put it there gyco

                          I had the major munchies in the beginning, could not find enough food to fill my face! I looked at it as comfort food then. My body was screaming for alcohol and I shut it up with food, which I never ate much of because of it's buzz-killing properties. :H

                          So enjoy it (within reason, of course). Take care of yourself and be well. :h
