    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BRIGID!!!

    It may be a little soon, because our Brigid (AboutTimeToo) is an Aussie gal, but Brigid is having her anniversary on November 1st. She is at least 2, and possibly 3 years sober now. Forgive me for not knowing exactly, dear Brig.

    Anyway, for those of you who haven't been around that long, Brigid is one of the original members of MWO from back in the beginning, and she was also one who gently nudged me toward my own sobriety (with me kicking and screaming the whole way). She deserves a bit of acknowledgement, so here it is:

                      Thanks Kathy (I think I was a bit tough on you sometimes, Kathy, but we get through hey!!) and thanks to everyone else for their wishes. Wow.. Macks you are back?

                      As long as I live I will never forget that first week that I was sober. I'll never fool myself that it was easy or that I could do it again. Its a really serious business this finding yourself and getting on with a sober life... and it is worth it.

                      Yip, here I am at 3 years sober - not a drop. I'm hugely reflective today.. spent hours reading old posts yesterday.. kind of reminiscing times gone by.. not wanting those times back, but acknowledging them.

                      Its odd cos in my life, today is just another day... the introspection is just within me. Ah well, better get on with it...
