Every time I call, they ask to leave a message. I don't want to leave a message and have them call me back in case someone else answers. No one knows I ordered them. I have emailed and I was told they were resent as they were stuck in Customs.

Hi everyone! November 1 and it is a nice day here in Houston! I am going to run some errands and stay AWAY from the liquor store...not a drop in the house and it has to stay that way for me to stop this insanity. I am going to do this--I have to do this to save my life. Have a great day/night all. I will check in later.

Looks like a good group for November! This is the time of year when I always begin to feel melancholy and stressed; Christmas music in stores can drive me up a wall! So I will need to be very aware of triggers this month, and focused on working either around them, or with them!

Christy, that's frustrating about the topa order. Cravings and impulses can, of course, be quite a barrier to keeping our AF commitments. Have you taken a look at the "toolbox" thread? There are some really good ideas about dealing with cravings/thoughts/impulses... I'd recommend it...

hope everyone is having a good weekend. All good here - having a slow and domestic weekend. House looks like a tip but that's because I didn't do my usual "clean the house while drinking wine" routine yesterday! But it is a bit worse than usual as we have some 3 week old kittens that we are fostering for the SPCA ...... and I thought I'd wait for them to get a bit older before I scared them shitless with vacuuming around them!

Is a gorgeous sunny spring day here too which helps immensely. I should be trying to catch up some work that I am really behind on, but decided on this my first AF weekend for many years that I would just chill out and be self indulgent - haven't done much more than read my book, have several baths, play with the kittens and cook/eat!

Sounds like an awesome day Aunt Mame! I just finished watching a movie with 2 of 3 daughters and my husband. Now listening to hubby play his guitar.

I actually had an Aunt Mame.....awesome lady!

Ahhhhh, and extra hour of sleep tonight, gotta love it!

I want to join! I want to to a NO November! I am determined and will get through with the help here! Started with the lemon juice this morning, and plan to have fresh vege juice at 4.30pm.... not a wine!

I'm in too! 30 days, yikes! It's going to be hard to turn down my dad's good wine at Thanksgiving, but I plan to be taking Antabuse everyday, so it shouldn't be an issue. And who knows? Maybe by then, I won't even want the wine? Maybe....

Day TWO!!!

I am up for the first time on a Sunday BEFORE 1:00 without a hangover. One Day at a Time, Right? The weather is beautiful and I actually am thinking of getting dressed--no vodka and orange juice for me this Sunday morning! Have a wonderful Sunday everyone. Will check in throughout the day to see house everyone is doing.

Sounds like everyone had a great and relaxing weekend!

Start of day 3 here and monday morning .... :damn: even being AF doesn't make that any better!! However, it is a beautiful morning ....... I got up and had a fast 40 minute walk. Where I live is really close to the harbour and it looks truly magnificent today.

Our kittens are starting to walk and find their way out of the basket. I keep hearing little mewing sounds in strange places ....... they are still so small it can be a little hard to find them!

Glad you made it to Day 3...Day 2 here is just in the afternoon and starting to get antsy for me. Going to go shopping and stay away from the grocery stores where they have wine--which I don't like--but will drink if I can't find my beloved Crown! I will not buy it..I will not buy it...I will check in later. I too will make it to Monday!
